I was up at camp and had not painted in months. I brought a few canvases and my paints. It seems to be a “reset” place for me, after not being motivated for various reasons. Anyway, I did these three at camp, outside. My favorite season was coming, and it lends the way in multiple colors for me. Summer is still present, yet autumn is near. It’s like the painting was not sure what color scheme to take on. That’s the two little ones—so much color, so many directions, but it works. The pine… well, I thought it safe to revisit my favorite pine at camp. And that’s what I did.
