Katherine’s daughter drove to Thunderbay, then took a two-hour train to Wabakimi Provincial Park. She was let off in the middle of nowhere to start a canoe trip. This Northern Ontario sky stands out, its rich colour palette signals that summer was ending, and the orange hues in the rocks leave a mystic feeling. “I imagine the land is rarely touched and the waters infrequently paddled or swam in,” Katherine explains.
