Katherine visited Le Gaspesie, Quebec in 2019 with two close friends and took this photo during the trip. She tried to keep her mind calm while painting—as calm as she felt when she was there in person. The sky was so open, breathing on its own. The simplicity of the landscape allows for a peaceful painting.
